Question by Ryan P: If my quartz countertop comes cracked, should I refuse installation?
I’m getting my countertop today installed in my kitchen. The slab around the sink isn’t too big and there are no corners. I’ve seen stories on HGTV of installers accidentally cracking it around the thinners areas around the sink.
If his happens today, and it gets cracked during installation or from delivery, should I refuse it and demand a new piece? Thanks.

Yes, once it’s in then they’ll demand payment. Most contractors should be good about it and if they aren’t they may be trying to rip you off.
